At the foot of the snowy mountain there are 7 lagoons of different shades of colors. each one is unique and different from the others due to its medicinal properties. many andean healers travel to these lagoons to perform their healing rituals. it is a very religious and sacred place since ancient times, since the populators of the qollasuyo side and the andean highlands. the height of the 7 ausangate lagoons in peru varies between 3,780 and 4,860 m.a.s.l. the climate in this area is cold, with low humidity. temperatures can vary between -10ºc and -5ºc in the morning and at night, and between 20ºc and 25ºc during the day. the ausangate snow-capped mountain, which feeds the lagoons, is the fifth highest peak in peru, with a height of 6,384 m.
