Inca Trail 4D
One night before our hike to Machu Picchu, there will be a briefing with our hiking tour guide at 6:30 p.m. This will take place at the hotel where we will be staying. But if you prefer, we can also organize a meeting for a different time.
In the morning we will be picked up at the hotel with our private transportation to the beginning of the KM 82 trail, where we will see spectacular views of the Andes along the way. Then, one of our chefs will prepare a tasty breakfast after eating, you must show your passport to the checkpoint so we can begin the first two and a half hours of walking. The route will be quite flat until we reach the Inca site of Llactapata where you will experience the Inca culture for the first time and learn about the history of Peru and more. After your first lesson on Inca history, it will be another hour and a half until we arrive to the lunch stop and after lunch, we will walk for another 2 hours until we reach the first night's camp in Ayapata at (3300 meters). In this section, we pass through 2 small communities where we can buy any energy drink, snack or some essential items that we have forgotten to buy before, we can also charge batteries and other equipment. Then we will arrive at our camp at 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon to settle in and relax with a hot drink or a snack with your team of porters, chef and guide. Finally, at 7:30 p.m. At night, your delicious dinner will be ready and after dinner, you will have your well-deserved rest.

Our porters will wake us up early at 4:45 a.m. with a cup of coca tea to prepare you for the day followed by a nutritious breakfast and at 6:15 a.m., we will begin walking towards the highest elevation of the Inca Trail; The Dead Woman Pass (Warmiwañuska) which is located at (4,215 meters), Then we will ascend for more than four hours passing through different microclimates and impressive views of incredible landscapes and mountains. Now, when we are in this part of the route it will be a little difficult to walk, due to the elevation that we will find. Therefore, we will take some breaks, then we will reach the summit and the porters will be waiting for you with a cup of hot tea for you to drink while you enjoy the moment. The next walk will last an hour and a half but this time, downhill, through the steps of the Inca, until you reach your lunch place. After eating, you will have another four hours of walking, interspersing breaks until you reach the Chaquicocha camp, where you can visit two beautiful archaeological sites; Runku Raccay and Sayacmarka. To close, you will enjoy your dinner and a good rest.

We'll start early again! You will be woken up with a cup of hot tea, followed by breakfast and then begin your two-hour walk to the last pass of Phuyupatamarca, which is 3,680 m.m. This section has unique views of the Vilcabamba mountain range and the impressive Salkantay mountain, then we will continue for three hours until we reach our camp. Afterwards we will visit two archaeological sites; Phuyupatamarca (town above the clouds) and Intipata (terraces of the sun). In these places you will enjoy different types of plants, flowers and forest birds. After lunch, you can take the five-minute walk to the most beautiful Inca site on the Inca trail, Wiñay Wayna (forever young). This place is full of impressive buildings and viewpoints along the way. Later Around 5:30 p.m., you will return to camp for your final happy hour and dinner. Then, a small celebration, to say “thank you,” and “goodbye” to your incredible porters who supported us with our luggage. If you want, you can leave a tip to thank them themselves.

On day 4, breakfast will be at 4 am, and then we will go to the checkpoint, we will walk for an hour until we reach the Puerta del Sol, where the view is exciting because we will see the imposing Machu Picchu for the first time. At the same time, you can take photographs at the site, while you walk another hour, until you reach the actual ruins.
Once you arrive at the entrance of the citadel, you will walk to the Machu Picchu checkpoint, where you can obtain an entry stamp in your passport and our will take us through the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu. This for two hours, teaching you about the majesty of the place. After the end of the tour, you will have time to walk on your own, and if you previously agreed to hike Huayna Picchu, you will be able to start your tour. Around 1:30 pm, you will leave Machu Picchu and take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch freely. Finally we will have to get ready for the Aguas Calientes train, this will be at 2:55 pm. or at 3:20 p.m., depending on availability, return to Ollantaytambo and Cusco. From there we will transfer back to our hotel in Cusco.
