Salkantay Trek 4D3N
We pick you up in Cusco between 4:30 and 5:00 AM, to go to Mollepata, a trip of approximately 2 hours where we will have breakfast in one of the local restaurants and the trip continues by car to Soraypampa where we will meet the team of muleteers and horses, marking the beginning of the Salkantay trek. Before starting the hike, all the equipment and duffel bags will be given to the muleteers and horses. The hike from Soraypampa to the Humantay lagoon begins at an altitude of 3,900 meters and ascends to 4,200 meters, where the lagoon is located. The initial part of the hike involves a gradual ascent for about an hour, followed by a steeper climb for the last hour. The total hike to the lagoon takes approximately 2 hours, upon reaching the Humantay lagoon, you will have free time to enjoy the stunning views, take pictures then we descend to the Quiswarniyoc camp, where we will have a delicious lunch prepared by the kitchen team. After lunch, the guide will accompany you to your respective dormitories for a well-deserved rest. The afternoon, after lunch, is free of scheduled hikes, allowing you to take short walks and explore the vast Quiswarniyoc area, enjoying the imposing views of the Salkantay, which rises directly in front of the camp. Around 6:00 p.m., a hot dinner will be served. After dinner, you will receive important information about day 02 of the hike, which involves reaching the highest point of the entire route.

Early in the morning at 5am with a coca leaf tea we will help with acclimatization to the altitude.
After breakfast we will start the hike to the highest point to the Salkantay Pass at 4700 meters above sea level. Upon reaching the summit, you will have time to enjoy the stunning views, photograph the mountains and feel the proximity of Mount Salkantay.
The guide will often provide you with information about the area and we will perform in a ritual to express gratitude to the Apus, the mountain gods, then we descend to the lunch site for 2 hours from the Salkantay Pass to Wayracmachay. After lunch, there is a short time to rest, weather permitting.
The final descent segment of the day is from the lunch site to the second camp at Chawllay.
This descent, which lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours, is slightly steep but offers incredible views as you pass from the Andes to the Amazon region until you reach Chawllay, the
second camp for the night. The day concludes with a delicious dinner prepared by the kitchen team.

We start the day with a stimulating wake up tea at 5:30am followed by time to pack up and prepare for the day’s adventure. We will have breakfast at 6:00am to recharge our batteries. The trek starts at approximately 6:30am from Chawllay and leads to our third campsite in Lucmabamba.
This 5 hour drive traverses mostly flat terrain through the Santa Teresa Valley along the way we will see the rich biodiversity of the area and a coffee tour in Lucmabamba where we will immerse ourselves in a coffee tour hosted by a local family later we will have lunch in Lucmabamba by our talented kitchen team. After lunch we will descend to the Cocalmayo hot springs for a relaxing and restful afternoon where in the evening we will have dinner. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

This day we get up very early at 4:00 am and we head to Hidroelectrica where we will have breakfast and be able to walk until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes where the buses will be waiting for us to ascend to Machu Picchu at approximately 11:00 am we will pass the checkpoints and be able to visit one of the wonders of the world "Machu Picchu" with our guide we will have a tour of approximately 3 hours, optional for those who visit the mountain of Huayna Picchu with prior recommendation of the guide will do it, and then we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes where you can taste their food in the restaurants of the town and then we will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and then to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 9:00 pm.
